Understanding Your Care
What is Osteopathy?
Osteopathy is a form of manual therapy established by Dr. Andrew T. Still in 1874. Using in-depth anatomical knowledge and hands-on techniques, osteopathic practitioners work with the body's natural ability to heal — addressing structural dysfunction without drugs or surgery.
Treatment improves the function of the nervous, circulatory, and lymphatic systems by restoring movement and balance throughout the body. Whether you're recovering from an injury or managing a long-standing issue, osteopathy treats the whole person — not just the symptom.

Self-Care Between Sessions
Wellness Tips
Posture at Your Desk
Keep your screen at eye level, feet flat on the floor, and elbows at 90°. Take a standing or stretching break every 30–45 minutes to release tension in the neck and lower back.
Breathing & Your Nervous System
Deep diaphragmatic breathing activates the parasympathetic nervous system, reducing stress and allowing tight fascia to soften. Try 4 counts in, 6 counts out — three times a day.
Stay Mobile Between Sessions
Gentle daily movement — even a 10-minute walk or light stretching — maintains the gains from your treatment and helps your body continue to adapt and heal.
Hydration & Fascia Health
Fascia — the connective tissue surrounding every muscle and organ — relies on hydration to stay supple. Aim for 6–8 glasses of water daily, especially after osteopathic treatment.
